General Info

IntelliTechture Corporation is a high-end software architecture and development consulting firm based in Spokane, Washington. The company hires the best and brightest engineers and focuses on providing architecture consulting, software development, and training to enable their customers to solve the most challenging of problems. IntelliTechture has principal and senior engineers specializing in the latest Microsoft technologies – including Microsoft .NET (WCF/WPF/WF), Visual Studio VSTS/TFS, SharePoint, and BizTalk Server.

IntelliTechture uses best practice application life-cycle management to deliver quality software solutions on time, on scope, and within budget.  It specializes in the following services:

  • From the concept phase onwards, IntelliTechture offers and delivers training, consulting and implementation using state of the art software –Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • IntelliTechture enables companies to achieve efficient and effective collaboration, corporate publishing and enterprise content management (ECM).  SharePoint services include consulting, training, deployment/upgrading, internet/intranet portals and application development.
  • IntelliTechture conducts software architecture workshops that design service (SOA), security, scope, layout, and deployment blueprints.
  • For the integration and migration of large enterprise applications as well as business-to-business transactions, IntelliTechture offerings include BizTalk and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions.  BizTalk, Integrations include the use of line-of-business adapters and the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).

IntelliTechture personnel serve on Microsoft’s VSTS and Connected Systems Advisory Councils, publish frequently and present at conferences such as TechEd, DevConnections, and VSLive.

Our Team 

Mark Michaelis

Mark Michaelis is the founder of IntelliTect and serves as the Chief Technical Architect and Trainer. Since 1996, he has been a Microsoft MVP for C#, Visual Studio Team System, and the Windows SDK and in 2007, he was recognized as a Microsoft Regional Director. He also serves on several Microsoft software design review teams, including C#, the Connected Systems Division, and VSTS. Mark speaks at developer conferences and has written numerous articles and books - Essential C# 4.0 is his most recent.
 
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. When not bonding with his computer, Mark is busy with his family or training for another triathlon (having completed the Ironman in 2008). Mark lives in Spokane, Washington, with his wife Elisabeth and three children, Benjamin, Hanna and Abigail.


Phil Spokas

Phil Spokas is the Vice President of Business Development for IntelliTect. He comes to the company previously specializing in technical leadership and management along with experience in building/leading technical teams. Professionally Phil’s greatest accomplishment was his involvement in the original design, architecture and development of the OnTrack Manufacturing Execution System.
 
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Benedictine University. When not assisting clients, Phil enjoys hikes with his family, home improvement projects and exploring the Inland Northwest.

Michael Stokesbary

Michael Stokesbary is a SharePoint Development Architect for IntelliTect. Michael has been involved in computers since he was about 10 with his first computer being a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A that he programmed BASIC on and saved his programs on ordinary audio cassette tapes. Since then, Michael has learned various programming languages and primarily focuses on .NET technologies including C#, WCF, WPF, WF, SharePoint, and ASP.NET.
 
Michael obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Gonzaga University. When not geeking out with either his computer or the .NET User Group in Spokane, he enjoys spending time with his 2 sons, daughter and lovely wife.

Brian Jones

Brian Jones is a Senior EAI Architect for IntelliTect. Since the early 1990s, he has been in the Information Technology industry where he has been introduced and mastered many different technologies. In addition to .NET (C#/WCF/WPF/WF) and ASP.NET technologies, Brian has been heavily involved with BizTalk Server since 2004. He has published several white papers for Microsoft in the area of BizTalk. Brian has also been involved with Team Foundation Server, supporting both installations and upgrades as well as promoting best-practices.
 
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Troy University. When he is not busy working (or playing with technology), he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, playing soccer, and recovering from Wii injuries.

Ian Davis

Ian Davis is a Master Code Ninja for IntelliTect. He is an open source advocate publishing a number of his own projects and contributing to several others. Ian runs and maintains the Spokane .NET User Group Web site and gives presentations along with other members of IntelliTechture.
 
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Gonzaga University and was an MS candidate in Computer Science at Temple University specializing in high performance, high availability, fault tolerant cluster computing. When not working on his LCD tan, he enjoys playing basketball and tennis.

Allen Greaves

Allen Greaves is a Code Ninja for IntelliTect. Since the day Allen become interested in computer science he has had the opportunity to work on various software development projects. By doing so he has gained valuable knowledge with a wide range of technologies including SharePoint, WCF, WPF, Entity Framework and many others. One of Allen’s greatest professional accomplishments to date is gaining several patents regarding Video Capture and Augmented Reality.
 
Allen graduated from Eastern Washington University where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in both Mathematics and Physics. Allen is also currently working towards getting his Masters in Computer Science. Outside of work he enjoys cooking vegan meals along with learning about new programming concepts and languages.

Zach Moore

Zach Moore is a Code Ninja for IntelliTect. He specializes in SQL database architecture and optimization.
 
Zach graduated from Eastern Washington University first in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Biotechnology, and more recently with his Masters in Computer Science. When not working, Zach enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and hiking as well as Trivia.

Jeff Hemry

Jeff Hemry is a Senior .NET Architect for IntelliTect. He has specialized in web development and XML/XSLT, but more currently in WPF work as he holds his MCAD, Microsoft Certified Application Developer Certificate.
 
Jeff graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. When not in front of his computer he enjoys riding sport bikes, any outdoor activity and raising two beautiful and well rounded daughters. One of Jeff’s biggest goals in life is to become a Life Coach and help people realize their dreams.

Kelly Adams

Kelly Adams is a Code Ninja for IntelliTect. Since 1999, Kelly has been developing line-of-business applications on Microsoft platforms in various industries ranging from commercial finance to health care. He comes to IntelliTect specializing in web-based applications that utilize technologies as ASP.Net MVC, WCF, jQuery, and Entity Framework. His greatest professional accomplishment was recently building a system to receive lab test orders and deliver test results to physician's offices securely over the internet.
 
Kelly previously attended Ithaca College in New York. When not developing unique applications, Kelly enjoys playing board games with his family, playing base for the band Fairmount Chase and cooking Southern-style barbecue.

Jason Kariotis

Jason Kariotis is a Code Ninja for IntelliTect. Previously, Jason has worked with Microsoft as part of the Windows Core Operating System division. His extensive experience from Microsoft ranges from Automated Kernel Debugging Extensions to Software Quality Metrics. Jason holds two Microsoft Certified Professional Certificates for Windows Client Operating Systems along with a Programming Certificate from the University of Washington. His greatest accomplishment was being a recipient of a Microsoft Engineering Excellence award.
 
Jason first attended the University of Southern Maine where he studied Criminology and then while at Microsoft attended the University of Washington where he studied Computer Science. Outside of work Jason is an avid snowboarder, as he was a former snowboarding Ski Patroller at Snoqualmie Pass.

Shane Kercheval

Shane serves as a Code Ninja for IntelliTect. He specializes in .NET code.
 
Shane graduated from Eastern Washington University, Summa Cum Laude, and holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science along with two Minors in Mathematics and Physics. He mainly enjoys staying busy by “working outside of work”.

Ginger Graffo

Ginger Greaves is the Senior Software Quality Assurance Lead for IntelliTect. Before coming to work for IntelliTect she was repairing gaming systems for profit.
 
Ginger holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Sam Houston State University. Outside of work, this black belt in Karate enjoys anything revolving around science especially physics, chemistry and robotics. She also loves working on different crafty and handy projects, fixing up her house, and puzzles.

Michael Begley

Michael Begley is a Software Quality Assurance Technician for IntelliTect. Michael brings extensive knowledge in the QA field specializing in functional/performance software testing, test automation, test architecture and software and product design. One of Michael’s greatest accomplishments to date was receiving an impressive 4 out of 5 stars for his paper at Microsoft’s annual “Think Week” competition.
 
On Michael’s own time he enjoys to further his learning by tuning in to online lecture series by both The Teaching Company and Westlaw Sum & Substance. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and listening to music along with reading up on Game Theory and how it relates to economics and social issues.

Jenna Cypert

Jenna Cypert is an Agile Project Manager for IntelliTect. Jenna’s primary responsibility for IntelliTect is the implementation of software development project for clients. Currently, she is in the process of furthering her project management skills by obtaining her PMP, Project Management Professional Certification.
 
Jenna graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Minor in Management. Her greatest accomplishment has been teaching English for five months to a small community in the rain forests of Costa Rica. Outside of work she enjoys learning and speaking Spanish, any outdoor activity especially rock climbing as well as spending quality time with her family and close friends.

Mandy Frei

Mandy Frei is a Project Manager Apprentice for IntelliTect. Her primary responsibilities for IntelliTect include assisting project managers in the completion of software development project for clients along with aiding in the organization and updating of the company’s marketing materials.
 
Mandy graduated from Washington State University and holds her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Her greatest accomplishment was being a four year scholarship athlete for the Cougs. Outside of work she enjoys being with her wonderful husband, family and friends. GO COUGS!

Anne Beard

Anne Beard is a Human Resources Consultant for IntelliTect. With over 15 years in the industry, Anne has a broad range of HR experience benefiting the IntelliTect team. Previously, Anne has worked with the coordination and leading of training initiatives, recruiting, scheduling and payroll, health benefits, employee manuals and many others. Currently, Anne is furthering her education as she is in the process of obtaining both her National Certification in Human Resources and Professional Human Resources Certification.
 
Anne graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her greatest accomplishment is being deeply devoted to her awesome husband and two wonderful children. Anne enjoys reading, traveling, cooking and communicating with people which makes her an awesome fit as IntelliTect’s recruiter!
